This apartment is located in the prestigious Consulens Brygge, a residential project right on the waterfront in Stavanger, offering stunning views of the fjord. The apartment will be available for sale from autumn 2023 and spans approximately 240 square meters, spread over 2 floors.
When designing the apartment, I have balanced between emotions and rationality, with a focus on creating spaces with meaningful functions. The floor plan has precise and clear forms, and symmetry, proportions, and harmony have been important elements in creating good rooms in the apartment.
Consulens Brygge has a unique architecture with large surfaces and spacious volumes, as well as ceiling heights that provide a solid foundation for creating rooms that meet our needs in a home. The ceiling height in the upper floor reaches up to 320 cm. I have carefully considered the relationship between human proportions and the scale of the room to create harmony. In selected areas, I have added a beautiful wooden ceiling to enhance intimacy and spatial experience. The generous ceiling height becomes even more fantastic when complemented by the large windows facing the sea.
The interior embraces the light streaming through the large windows. But I also believe that shadows are an important and natural part of a home to enhance a sense of depth and maintain a feeling of intimacy. Therefore, the lighting plan has been carefully thought out, highlighting some elements while allowing others to remain in the background, just like the nature outside.
For me, every detail is important in creating a holistic experience. I focus on both functional and aesthetic details, as both reason and emotions play a crucial role in the apartment in Consulens Brygge.
